Rotherham United’s loanee striker Kieffer Moore has another two matches to serve of a three match ban that he received after a red card in the away game at Bristol Rovers.

But, what I’ve been wondering is will he get straight back into the starting eleven?

Millers Manager Paul Warne has always said that if the player has earned his shirt, whether defender, goalkeeper, midfielder or striker, then it’s up to him to lose it and/or keep it.

After the first half on Saturday at Blackpool I think he’d have walked into the team, probably been the first name on the sheet, but it was so much better in the second half I’m not sure he will.

The obvious replacement for the tall striker was Jonson Clarke-Harris who had a couple of shots in the opening minutes which only bothered the half-a-dozen or so ‘Pool fans behind the net and, if I’m being honest, couldn’t as much as walk in Moore’s shadow at the moment. Which is a shame because I’d have loved to see Jono doing well and winning back the ‘love’ of the fans.

But in the second half the combination of David Ball and Jerry Yates worked well and gave the team pace up front which it hadn’t had in the first forty-five minutes.

And, of course, with Moore only having a two more games in December at the New York Stadium, unless something happens, wouldn’t it be better for the management team to be thinking of game plans without him?

Well the other forwards have two games to make their point, show Warney they are up to the task. For me David Ball started doing that at Blackpool.

So will Kieffer get straight back into the team for his last couple of games before he returns to Ipswich ? Do you think he should?
