Rotherham United midfielder Will Vaulks told the Official Site today that he is ‘relishing the prospect’ of playing in front of a full New York Stadium at the weekend.

The Millers entertain neighbours Doncaster Rovers on Saturday with the twenty-four year old saying the team feel they owe the fans something as he didn’t feel they were very good in the game earlier in the season at the Keepmoat.

That game ended one-one with Rotherham getting the equaliser through former loanee Kieffer Moore in time added on at the end of the game.

Saying he can’t wait for Saturday, Will said, ‘There will be no complacency with it being such a big game. It will pick us up even more.

‘I’ve got mates who I don’t see very often coming so it`s an occasion I`m looking forward to, in front of so many people .

‘There’s no reason we can’t win but we do know it’s going to be a tough game.’

Musing on the season Will carried on, ‘Three months ago I think we’d have been looking how far away we were from the bottom half or lower down. But thirteen games on and looking at teams at the top of the league is a testament to what we’ve done.

‘I’m enjoying it. I’m playing every week and there’s nothing better. I’d just like to chip in with a few more goals.’

Will has scored five goals so far this season, his last one being in our three-nil away win at Bury on Boxing Day. So, yes, it is a while since we’ve seen his back-flip celebration. Maybe on Saturday, eh?
