Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore explained today to MillersPlayer why he is resting top scorer, Adam Le Fondre

‘I’m taking a precaution with Alf. He’s had a lot of games and I think a little rest for him should set him up fine for the play-offs.

‘Alf needs a break. He’s not happy about it but, in his own way, he understands that professionally it’s better for him and the club that we have him fresh for the play-offs.

‘I want our game on Saturday to be our twelfth away win. You don’t want a four- or five-nil battering going into the play-offs. I want to finish on seventy-six points.

‘We want the supporters to get behind us and help us get the points we need.’
