Grant Ward

What a season this lad had for the Millers! A tireless runner and such an exciting player he was almost an ever present.

Joining in pre-season from Tottenham Hotspur firstly just on trial Steve Evans soon snapped him up on a six-month loan deal.

Grant made his debut in the opening game of the season scoring his first goal in October at home to Burnley, and what a cracker that was, and went on to score again in our Boxing Day four-nil win over Bolton. January saw his initial youth loan spell extended and made into a senior loan until the end of the season.

All in all Grant made forty-two appearances for Rotherham and in the end of season awards won the Young Player of the Year as well as getting the Goal of the Year for his strike against Burnley.

The twenty-one year old is now back with Spurs waiting to see what his future holds (with a lot of us Millers wishing it was back with us for another year!)
