With the Millers getting ready to play in League One, what happened to the players who last got us out of this league . . . .

Kieran Agard

Born in East London Kieran had Youth spells with Arsenal before moving to Everton in 2005 who he made his first team debut for in September 2009. While at Goodison Park, the striker had loan spells with Peterborough and Kilmarnock. After his release from Everton in the summer of 2011 he signed a contract with Yeovil Town and in the one season he was with them made twenty-nine appearances scoring six times.

After not originally agreeing terms, Kieran signed a deal with the Millers in July 2012. His first season saw him score six goals helping Rotherham to promotion to League One. The following season he scored twenty-six goals and scored the first penalty in the shoot-out at Wembley. The following season in the Championship was only a couple of weeks old when he had talks with Leeds United but the deal fell through due to personal terms not being agreed. Kieran played three games that season before signing for Bristol City at the end of August for what was thought to be around £750,000.

The striker spent two years at Ashton Gate before joining MK Dons in August 2016 for what is reported as being a club record fee making forty-eight appearances last season and scoring fourteen goals.
