Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington says it is crucial that the club hold onto goal machine Adam Le Fondre.

Speaking to Dominick Howson of The Star, the thirty-three year old shot-stopper, said, ‘It’s imperative that we hold onto him. I think he’s been fantastic for us and after training with him day in day out he’s gone high up in my estimation.

‘He likes the ball at his feet and brings other people into the game and comes alive in the box.

‘But, although Adam is capable of scoring twenty goals we also need other players to chip in too.’

Having his say on the draw against Notts County at Don Valley on Saturday, Warrington said, ‘The first half was the worst we’ve played this season but we got back into it and produced a battling performance and that’s the performance we have to take into the next game.’

The next game is on Saturday, 24th October at one of Andy’s former clubs, Bury.
