Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington says the team know they chucked three points away on Tuesday night.

‘We don’t need a kick up the backside,’ the thirty-six year old told The Advertiser, ‘it was shocking.

‘We never got going. We never cleared our lines. We gave away possession and got caught. It was our poorest performance of the season.

‘I don’t think anyone could come off and say they did well. And, I can’t stand here and say I did alright because ultimately I didn’t. I let two goals in. You can get away with one or two being off their game but not five, six, seven and eight of us.

‘We never got going until the last ten or fifteen minutes when we upped the tempo. And that was only a natural response to them sitting back and inviting us. But, we shouldn’t have put ourselves in the position in the first place.

‘For us to get beat by the bottom of the table in the way we did was really, really, disappointing. If we want to do anything this season we need to be beating teams like Darlington.

‘Saturday has now become a massive game and we have to make sure we’re on it.’
