Rotherham United Manager Neil Warnock is expecting the Millers to be in the Championship next season but is also expecting them to be favourites to go down.

Moving up a place tonight on goal difference the Millers are nine points above MK Dons who are in the last place of the relegation places with nine points to play for.

‘I`m afraid Rotherham are always going to be the underdogs,` the Millers Boss told Radio Sheffield after tonight`s draw with Huddersfield Town.

‘I`m sure we will be in the Championship next season, although we`re not mathematically safe we`re as good as, but we`ll probably be very heavily backed to get relegated.`

Saying he didn`t mind being the underdogs, the Gaffer carried on, ‘You have to look at the whole situation. The lads have been a credit to me and we can hold our heads up. There are a lot bigger clubs in Yorkshire struggling and I think we`ve done quite well.`

Asked if he was expecting to be at the New York Stadium next season, Neil said, ‘At the moment, and rightly so, it`s on hold because there`s all sorts happening in my life and in football.

‘The Chairman has told me his situation and I`ve told him mine and we`ll talk at the end of the season.

‘Being in Yorkshire is me really and this is a lovely club.`
