Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that being in recruitment in a ‘bit of a thankless task’.

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss said, ‘People don’t really see how hard you work in recruitment, it’s a three hundred and sixty-five days a year job.

‘Jamie (Johnson) heads ours and Tom (Randle) goes out watching games then brings us the players. Then it’s up to us where we go. It’s a difficult job and one that is on going – it’s a constant progress.

‘We are in the position where we could be in one of two leagues but we’ve not really got two lists. We are always looking to strengthen whichever league we are in.

‘You can be as well prepared as you like but you have to always expect a curve ball. Hopefully in the summer we can do similar business to last year and trim and liven up our squad again.

‘We’ve got two or three out of contract, who we will be speaking to in the next two or three weeks but the majority of the squad will still be here.’
