Rotherham United’s Caretaker Manager Paul Warne said he got a bit frustrated with the game at Hillsborough this afternoon.

Saying he’s happy to slow the game down away from home Warney speaking to MillersPlayer said, ‘I don’t know why our goal in the first half was ruled out.

‘I’ve watched it back through unbiased eyes trying to see what he’s blown for and I cannot see. It would have obviously been nice to go in one-nil so that’s hugely disappointing.

‘Then with the penalty late on. He (Joao) has won the penalty rather than Woody (Richard Wood) fouling him and any contact in this game today would have got you a free-kick.

‘It was a calamity of errors really. Pricey (Lewis Price) kicked it quite early down the wrong wing, they won it back but in fairness to Pricey he went the right way for the pen.

‘And Woody (Richard Wood) getting sent off wasn’t great. He wasn’t the last defender so I don’t know if I’m able to appeal that. In fact I thought that double-jeopardy rule kicked-in there where you can’t have a penalty and a sending off and Woody said he was sent-off for the challenge. Which I think is really harsh because I’ve watched it back and I’m not saying there isn’t contact and it probably is a penalty, though a soft penalty. But there no pull of the shirt or hand-balled it off the line so I think that’s a bit harsh.

‘It was really a game of set-pieces. I’ve never been in a game where there was so many free-kicks, it was non-contact football. And that’s for both teams. The way the Ref (Tim Robinson) was playing today I told the players at half-time that they’d got to have more composure on the ball because any contact from anyone you get a free-kick.’
