Rotherham United striker Izzy Brown lasted just thirty-six minutes in this evenings game against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Chelsea loanee was having a good game, following a good game at the weekend but went down during the game having to be replaced by Jon Taylor.

After the two-one loss the Millers interim Manager Paul Warne told MillersPlayer that the nineteen year old had a tight hamstring.

‘You could see that he wasn’t really moving well,’ Warney said, ‘then all of a sudden he’d go on a run.

‘But we could tell there was something not right and in the end I didn’t want to risk him so that we had him missing for three or four weeks.

‘Reluctantly I took him off.

‘It was the same with Frecks (Lee Frecklington) with my Manager’s head wanting him to play but my fitness coach head knew if he played two games on the trot when you’ve been out for a while with a muscle injury is a high risk.

‘And I nearly put him on when Brown came off but if he’d got injured again out there I’d never have forgiven myself.

‘And Wardy ( Danny Ward) came off with a wrist injury and I put Dexter Blackstock on who I thought was a handful.’
