Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that Joe Newell, on his day, is unplayable.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield Warney said, ‘There are certain situations when he can’t get on the ball as much as we’d like, like the game at Doncaster, where I don’t think he touched the ball more than ten times.

‘Whether that’s the fault of his team mates or me, I don’t know. There are other games when he does get on the ball and he’s really influential for us. He can do things that other players in this squad can’t.

‘He is having a good run in the team at the moment and, especially at home, his performances have been excellent.’

In his third season with the Millers Joe has made eighteen appearances this season scoring three games.
