Rotherham United went down to ten men at Bristol Rovers on Saturday with ten minutes to go when top scorer Kieffer Moore was red carded.

The Ipswich loanee was sent-off after an off-the-ball incident with Lee Brown on seventy-nine minutes and will now miss three games of the five he has left before he returns to his parent club in January.

Speaking after the two-one defeat (and the Millers were two-one down when Moore went for his early bath) Millers Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield, ‘I’ve seen the incident back and Kieffer appears to slap the lad in the face.

‘I’m hugely disappointed. I do appreciate that Kieffer gets more physical contact than most players in this league because of h is size and strength and doesn’t get many benefits from referees. But he’s just lost his temper and slapped out.

‘He will be a big loss for us as a team and also for himself. We’ll definitely miss him.’
