Rotherham United fitness coach, Paul Warne took the players to a local Institute of Sport in the hope of carrying on with their fitness routine that has been rudely interrupted due to the snow.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Warney said, ‘We’ve had a good day today and have run solidly for about an hour and a half doing things like two hundred metre runs. It was hard and doing five two hundred metres with only a minutes rest in between it is intense and you feel sick. And there’s no point pushing them to the point of fatigue because all you’ll get is injuries so I think we worked them as hard as we could.

‘It was a bit of a body shock for some of them but we’ve done well to get them all through without any injuries, except Tom who didn’t feel so great.

‘It’s difficult to get indoor facilities which is big enough to accommodate a squad of twenty-five and tomorrow we’re training somewhere else and we’ll do some ball work with them.’
