Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that Blackburn Rovers did to his team in the first half on Tuesday night what the Millers have been doing to other teams this season.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield the Millers Boss said, ‘They ran over us which hasn’t happened before and didn’t let us play and although we were better in the second half most of the damage had been done.

‘In the first half we didn’t control the middle of the park very well, we didn’t close them down but they closed us down really well and we didn’t made many good decisions on the ball.

‘We changed it the best we could at half-time but it wasn’t enough to affect the result.

‘I’ve watched Woody’s (Richard Wood) goal back and don’t know why it didn’t stand, it seemed a fair goal to me. And if that had stood, I think we were the better team at the time and could have gone on to win the game.

‘Then they put their subs on, and they were good subs, which improved the game for them and they ended up deserved winners.’
