RUFC – Warne Tells All His Players To ‘Be Ready’

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne is pleased with the back five in his team who have helped keep clean sheets in the last three games.

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss said, ‘Ikie (Michael Ihiekwe) has done well and Ben (Purrington) has settled in really well.

‘Keeping clean sheets is what it’s all about and they will get confidence from that. I always fancy our team to score so if we can keep five more clean sheets that might be enough.

‘The key is if you are in the team then you have to keep your standard up to keep in it. If you aren’t in it you have to be ready because your chance could be coming. To be fair to Michael and Ben who have just come in out of the wilderness for a few weeks they were ready which is why they’ve kept their shirts. I’m pleased with them.

‘I’m pleased with Semi Ajayi who has come on and played in a deep midfield roll and I think he’s enjoyed it. He looks casual on the ball, doesn’t get stressed, he’s a brilliant athlete and the last two games I’ve brought him on in that roll and he’s done really well. He’s played a lot of minutes this year and I’m pleased with him.’
