Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne thought his team were good last night despite the two-one loss.

Speaking to The Official Site Warney said, ‘I thought we were very good in the first half and deserved to go one-up but there was a mistake for the first goal when I thought we backed off a little bit and Pricey (Lewis Price) maybe should have kept hold of it but that’s probably being a bit harsh. Then they scored another straight after and I don’t think we deserved that.

‘We’re trying to build them up because they’re still a bit fragile and I thought they gave their job lot and scored just before half-time. And, if it was a boxing at half-time you’d have thought we’d have gone on to win it, but football’s not like that.

‘We threw the kitchen sink at them in the second half and had a lot of possession and I thought we passed the ball well but we didn’t have that cutting edge tonight.

‘We didn’t take the little half chances tonight that we might have done on another day and it’s disappointing that we’ve come away with a defeat but we can’t beat ourselves up about it.’
