Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says it was good to give his players a few days off last week.

‘We’ve had a lot of games over Christmas,’ Warney told iFOLLOW, ‘and the lads performed really well in those games.

‘We set them a points target and they surpassed that so deserved a break.

‘They’ve come back fresh and we’ve got twenty games to have a real good go at it. We’ll go out to try and win every game and see where that takes us.’

Saying training had been hard but a bit different because of the weather, Warney said, ‘We had to train on AstroTurf the other day because even under the frost blankets it was frozen solid.’

The Millers didn’t have a game last weekend due to their opponents, Bradford City, being in the FA Cup. The game will now take place on Tuesday, 23rd January at the New York Stadium when it will be a 7.45pm kick-off.
