Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that he would have no qualms about putting both Matty Palmer and Caolan Lavery into the starting eleven on Saturday if he needed too despite the fact that he doesn’t believe they are fully fit.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s derby with Doncaster the Millers Boss told iFOLLOW, ‘It’s no criticism of them because they need match time and they can’t get that because the team are doing so well.

‘But if I started either of them on Saturday I know they’d be able to perform at the level we want. Generally if you are out of the team you aren’t as fit as the ones who are playing but they are both excellent trainers.

‘I think Michael (Smith) has done brilliantly to be as fit as he was.

Saying that although they have had a few niggles he is expecting Joe Mattock, Will Vaulks, Richie Towell and Anthony Forde to be available for Saturday, Warney said, ‘We didn’t have a game on Tuesday so we’ve had time to bring them back into it, get them ready for Saturday.’
