Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was asked about striker Kieffer Moore who scored his ninth goal of the season this afternoon against Northampton Town.

Speaking toRadio Sheffield about the twenty-five years old’s goal today, Warney said, ‘I thought he did well and it was a good finish.

‘He could possible have had another couple but it was good that he scored again.

‘The fans are really appreciating him now, see how he’s leading the line and it was nice for him that he got the ovation he did when we took him off. The fans chanting his name must give him a lot of confidence.

‘When I spoke to him in the summer I told him it would be good to play for me because I’m an attacking manager, a little bit gung-ho I suppose at times, but he’d have loads of chances to score and that’s been the case.

‘I think this is probably the biggest run he’s had in first team football. He’s growing every game and we are trying to improve him and with his hard work he’s getting what he deserves. We’re really pleased with him.

‘Going forward we do create a lot of chances and I’ve got Bally (David Ball) coming back this week to push, and there’s Jono (Jonson Clarke-Harris) and Jerry (Yates) as well.’
