It’s the time of year which some fans really look forward to and others dread, the time for rumours, the time when people are sat glued (not literally (although …)) to social media, local radio, sports news bulletins – the Transfer Window has opened!

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told iFOLLOW that if he isn’t lucky enough to bring Kieffer Moore back to the New York Stadium then he will be on the look out for a similar player in the transfer window.

The Millers have put a bid in for Moore, who is the Millers top scorer, but is now back with his parent club Ipswich Town.

Speaking after the win away at Walsall on Saturday, Warney hinted that there were players he was looking at but also saying it was a case of being patient.

‘I don’t think the 1st January will come and I’ll have two or three players in,’ the Millers Boss said. ‘And, although people might disagree, I don’t think we need a lot and if we do bring any in I’ll have to make sure they improve us.’

Asked what he thought 2018 would bring, Warney said, ‘Hopefully performances that will excite the fans and that will see us near the top end of the table where we are trying to go for promotion.’
