Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that there was ‘no shame` in the defeat by Leicester City in the Carling Cup last night, saying his side ‘showed quality` in the first half of the game.
Foxes Manager, Sven -Goran Eriksson, thought his side dominated the second half. Speaking to Leicester`s Official Site, the former England Manager said, ‘At half-time I told the players that if we weren`t careful we would lose the game and that we didn`t want to go out of the Carling Cup so early.
‘It was good that, when we were one goal down, we didn`t panic and kept on playing. In the second half we were different class and dominated everything.`
Eriksson also had praise for his hat-trick hero, Jeff Schlupp, saying, ‘It was an absolutely fantastic performance from him and he is maturing as a player and is strong with a good technique.`
