RUFC – View From The Opposition – Wigan

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was proud of the way his players battled to get a point at high flying Wigan this afternoon.

Wigan Boss Paul Cook said he was ‘disappointed’ not to get a home win.

Speaking after the goalless draw, the Latics Manager told Wigan’s Official Site, ‘We didn’t play as well as we have done recently, but that’s no disrespect to the opposition because Rotherham caused us no end of problems.

‘We’ve been a free-scoring team recently and we didn’t look like that today, so that’s credit to the opposition who looked strong and fit in the latter stages of the game and we were comfortable to take a draw at that stage.

‘We took control for periods of the second half but for me a draw is a fair result.

‘We’re disappointed not to win at home, but we’ve had a tough run of games recently and it’s important that we rest up and go again because every game is a big game.’
