Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was delighted with his sides third win on the bounce and who wouldn’t have been with the Millers scoring five goals, three of those from skipper Lee Frecklington.

But Walsall Manager Jon Whitney apologised to travelling Saddlers fans saying, ‘We didn’t compete for thirty minutes of the game.

Speaking after his side’s five-one loss at the New York Stadium, Whitney told the Walsall Official Site, ‘We didn`t do the basics of football and allowed them (Rotherham) to put the game to bed. Their first goal was a worldie but we’re not happy with the other three goals in the first half.

‘We didn’t play anywhere near the standards we`ve set over the previous five weeks and I apologise to the travelling supporters. There are no excuses, we weren’t good enough.’
