Rotherham United Manager Neil Redfearn was disappointed that his team didn’t come away with something from the game against local rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night but also said he had to try and instil confidence into his players.

Meanwhile Owls Manager Carlos Carvalhal thinks his side deserved to take all three points.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the two-one win Carvalhal said, ‘It was a hard first half and we weren’t in good positions to get the second balls and we were playing too deep.

‘We corrected this for the second half and had a fantastic reaction. We got the goals in the first minutes and (Barry) Bannan came into the game and we had more chances to score and in the second half we had more control of the ball. And our reaction when we did lose the ball was amazing

‘Rotherham played the long ball and they had a lot of free-kicks and scored from one in the last minute.

‘But I think we deserved our victory and I’m very happy about a lot of things in the second half.

‘We are doing fantastic at the moment but it is just three points and this game is finished and we have Arsenal on Tuesday.’
