RUFC – View From The Opposition – Scunthorpe

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was disappointed with the goals his side gave away but pleased with the way his side played in Saturday’s first leg of the play-offs at Scunthorpe.

Scunthorpe United’s caretaker Manager Nick Daws was also pleased with his players telling the Iron’s Official Site that he thought his side showed ‘great character’ to come back twice from going behind.

‘I am pleased with the result and happy that we got back into the tie,’ Daws said after the two-all draw, ‘which gives me a lot of confidence that there is more to come.

‘I thought we allowed Rotherham to dictate their style of play on us more than us dictating our style of play on them. The boys know that they can play better, but we also have to play with respect to Rotherham’s set-up, which prevented us in many ways today.

‘What we need to do now is to be better than we were today and go and win the game.’
