Rotherham United’s Caretaker Manager Paul Warne said he was ‘very proud’ of his players after their one-nil win over Queens Park Rangers at the New York Stadium yesterday.

But Hoops Boss Ian Holloway wasn’t so pleased with his side.

Speaking to QPR’s Official Site Mr Holloway said, ‘It’s bitterly disappointing.

‘I thought we looked a very good team in the first half then let ourselves down with a throw-in. The kids a Chelsea player, he’s got it, turned and from a simple throw-in has ended up getting behind us and having a free shot at goal.

‘It’s about getting that structure and getting it right in your mind which, I think, is the only thing that let us down. Apart from that I thought we passed it really well and made their ‘keeper make three or four really good saves.

‘Unfortunately in the second half we didn’t really get at them like we did in the first. We stopped passing it and moving it.

‘They (Rotherham) have got nothing to lose and they’ve thrown everything at it and well done to them in the end with their spirit, their chasing and their tackling. A goal has changed the course of the game, it gave them a lift and they held on to it far easier than I would have liked. I saw too many shoulders drop.

‘When I look back I can’t believe we didn’t take a point. I am far more encouraged than I ever have been, I believe in what we are doing, these results are impostors

‘We’ve got to take that but it is an embarrassing feeling but that’s just ego and we’re on a bad run.’
