Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was very proud of his team yesterday after seeing them five-one winners against Oldham.

Oldham Manager John Sheridan wasn’t so happy after the mauling at the New York Stadium telling the Manchester Evening News that his team ‘threw the towel in.’

Speaking after the defeat, the Latics Boss didn’t sound as though he expected to be there much longer saying, ‘Luckily we have got a game on Tuesday and if I am here, I will pick a team that will hopefully go and try to win the game.

‘All over the pitch, we were second to the ball today. But I’m not going to blame the players . I’m the manager and I pick the team. I have been too loyal to them and they aren’t giving me anything back.

‘I am absolutely gutted for the supporters. They respect me for who I am and as a player when I played for the club. They know my heart is there and I want to do really well.’
