Rotherham United`s Assistant Manager, Andy Liddell was less than impressed with his team`s performance yesterday at Don Valley. After the one-nil loss to Morecambe, he said it ‘wasn`t good enough` and there were ‘no positives` to take from the game.
Morecambe`s Manager, Sammy McIlroy
Speaking to Bay Radio after the game, McIlroy said, ‘I was delighted for the boys today and the supporters who came down to cheer us on.
‘Jimmy`s goal was fantastic and a great finish. The boy`s quality but he`s still learning so you have to leave him out a couple of times, refresh him and bring him back in.
‘It was always going to be a difficult game but I thought we were in control of it for large periods of the game and limited Rotherham to very few opportunities. I was disappointed that we didn`t come off at half-time in front.`
