Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans was taking the good things from Saturday’s defeat away at Middlesbrough saying that although he knows that the ‘end product’ wasn’t the best his team ‘came and had a go’ at high flying ‘Boro.

Middlesbrough Manager Aitor Karanka was pleased his side had added points telling their Official Site, ‘It was another massive three points.

‘We had a lot of chances to score and it could have been three or four-nil. We have to improve but the most important thing is that we won the game.

‘We didn’t score the penalty or score two or three chances that we had in the first half, or score another one or two that we had in the second half but it is always the same story with this team.

‘The other teams around us won but I think we have opened a gap in the Play-Off positions. And now it is important to keep going and winning games.’
