Rotherham United got all three points at Moss Rose yesterday afternoon with Ronnie Moore saying his side gave loads of effort with Macclesfield Town Manager, Gary Simpson saying that thought all his team lacked was goals.

Speaking to Macclesfield`s Official Site, Simpson said, ‘They (Rotherham) scored a very good goal in the first half – it was a good header in the box and there`s not a lot you can do about that. But, I think, over the last three games we should be sat here with nine points.

‘Our lads worked their socks off and put them under pressure and, in particular in the second half, we were totally on top for thirty-five minutes. We were pushing for the equaliser all the second half and they hit us on the break with the second.

‘And there is no one in the ground who can tell me why we didn`t get a penalty in the first half. And, if it`s a penalty then it`s a red card because Ty (Tyrone Barnett) was clean through. But the ref`s bottled it in my opinion. I`ll have a look at the DVD but it looked a clear penalty to everyone in the ground and even their players were saying it was a pen. That would have changed the game.

‘Today we played a side who were third in the division and if you didn`t know you`d have thought it was us up there in the league.`
