Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was visibly disappointed after losing in the First Round of the FA Cup at Gresty Road on Saturday.

But former Miller and Crewe Manager David Artell was delighted with his side’s win, especially their second half.

Speaking to Crewe’s Official Site, Dave said, ‘It was a game of two halves and after we scored the equaliser I thought there was only one team going to win it.

‘There was a bit of apprehension because we were playing a League One side but at half-time I said what I had to do.

‘I thought the referee got it right to disallow their goal with (Michael) Raynes being fouled as the corner was about to be taken. We got a goal inside the first two minutes of the restart and then the second.

‘It’s great to be in the hat because it’s about time this club had a little cup run.’

Artell and all his family have always been avid Millers fans with Mr Artell senior getting a mention, his son saying, ‘He’s at our house tonight so I’ll get him a four-pack so he can commiserate.’
