Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott thought that his side were excellent in the one-all draw with Crewe on Tuesday night.

But, Crewe Manager, Steve Davis wasn’t so impressed with his side, saying it was the worst he’d seen them since he became manager.

Speaking to Radio Stoke, after his side had let a goal lead slip, Davis said, ‘We’ve got a point out of the game tonight and I don’t know how we managed that.

‘From the start to the end they (Rotherham) were much more dominant that us and created opportunities which, fortunately for us, they didn’t take. We were desperate in our defending and couldn’t play when we had the ball and ended up kicking it anywhere.

‘Apart from Harry (Davis) I thought everybody else was well below par today which is most disappointing. After we’d scored the penalty I could still see them scoring because we weren’t sound in what we were doing. We were fortunate that a few things that fell we were able to clear but we were hitting clearances against each other and I was really disappointed in some of the stuff we saw out there today. I don’t think it would have mattered what system we played today because the players played with no thought and no fight and they were much more dominant than us and showed more desire while playing better football.

‘I think they deserved to get three points and will feel aggrieved that they haven’t.’
