RUFC – View From The Opposition – Bristol Rovers

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne was pleased with what his team have achieved this season after the victory over Bristol Rovers saw them cement a place in the League One Play-Offs this afternoon.

Bristol Rovers Manager Darrell Clarke wasn’t so happy, in fact, he said he was ‘very angry’ at half-time.

‘We started the game well,’ the Rovers Boss told their Official Site, ‘then gave them a rubbish goal and I was very angry at half-time. Our final ball was very sloppy and not good enough.

‘I thought we started the second half on the front foot and had two great chances, probably the best two chances of the game, but you’ve got to finish those chances, be more clinical and the chances you create against better teams have to hit the back of the net. Then when we’re chasing the game they score a late one on the counter attack.

‘We fall short on a few things – clinical, decision making, rushing things, making bad decisions – and those players in there have to show me that they are top six players. We need to change things around a bit in the summer to make us a six top team.

‘I’m frustrated about today but excited about the future.’
