Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans thought his side could have had more goals against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night although he did say he thought that would have been a bit harsh on the opposition.

And Rovers Manager John Ward thought that his side run the Millers close.

Speaking to Gas Player after the Millers two-one win, John Ward said, ‘I cannot fault the effort of my team and I cannot fault the effort of my supporters, and together we have had a positive go and that is what everyone wants to see.

‘We expected a difficult game against Rotherham United and their celebrations at the end let me know they expected a difficult game from us and they got that.

‘I am disappointed with the goals, simply because of the way they have come about, very close together.’
