Rotherham United Manager Neil Warnock was pleased with the point he gained at Ashton Gate last night and also pleased with his players who he said gave him ‘everything’.

Bristol City Manager Lee Johnson said it had been a frustrating night for him but one he was expecting.

Speaking to Bristol City Player the Robins Boss said, ‘We made sure we’d done the research and we knew it was going to be difficult.

‘In our team selection we had a couple of more ‘men’ in there because it was important that we dealt with what was going to come.

‘Unfortunately we conceded a really poor goal and I was very disappointed in that. But I told the lads at half time that there was a lot of football to be played because there was hardly any played in the first half due to time wasting, people going down injured, ball out of play, long throw-ins and when you cut the play down to actual ball in play I bet it was less than sixty minutes out of ninety.

‘I thought the referee made a couple of early poor decisions and the lads got a little bit frustrated and took their focus off maintaining possession and we needed that bit of class. And, actually, our class came from a bit of brightness from a wide free-kick.

‘Their ‘keeper had pulled off two fantastic saves. But I was pleased with the players response and I thought we were the only team trying to win it from the off.’
