Rotherham United children under the age of eight will be able to watch the Millers free after all in the first season back in the town at the New York Stadium.

When the ‘Welcome Back` packages were sent out it stated that children under five would be allowed in free but, the club have said, like at Don Valley the correct age is under eights.

Under eights are entitled to a free season ticket with every full priced adult or full priced concession season ticket purchased for the Ben Bennett Family Stand.

Speaking to the Official Site a club spokesman said, ‘We want to make clear we made a mistake on the age limit when we announced season ticket details.`

The club is also offering a ten per cent discount on the price of family season tickets in the Ben Bennett Family stand.

Head of Commercial, Steve Lewis said: ‘It is very important to get families watching the millers as we are a community focused club. By reducing the cost of family season tickets and offering the option of a free season ticket for under eight`s in the family stand, we are hoping to secure the next generation of supporters.`
