Rotherham United’s Millers Trust have backed the move by the owner-in-waiting, Tony Stewart to move the club to Don Valley.

Trust Chairman, Mark Thomas told the Yorkshire Post that ‘in the circumstances we think the move is necessary.

‘We believe the supporters will follow the club to Don Valley and I hold no fears for the identity of Rotherham United.’

Millers fans are hoping the move to Sheffield will give the council a ‘shove’ to get things moving on the Community Stadium, which would be shared with the Rotherham Titans, that is earmarked for Parkgate.
