Rotherham United could be about to lose two of their frontmen after having approaches for both Richie Barker and Mark Burchill.

Despite Manager, Mark Robins, saying yesterday afternoon that Mansfield hadn’t enquired about Barker, The Advertiser says that the Stags have made an approach. And it seems that Burchill is wanted by a team in Scotland.

Robins is reluctant to lose any of this players and said, ‘I don’t want to lose these two. Good strikers are hard to come by. Richie is happy here and there will be interest in Mark because he’s a good player.’

Despite being ‘a good player’, Burchill has hardly featured in the Millers side since joining from Dunfermline in the summer and Robins said, ‘He got injured when he first joined us and then found it hard to get in the team because we went on such a good run. But, he worked his socks of against Darlington and stuck his penalty away well and that’s the kind of performance I want to see from him.’
