Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart is expecting to see Manager, Mark Robins’ name linked with other clubs but expects him to stay and see the job he’s started with the Millers through to the end.

Robins’ name has already been connected to the vacant Manager’s seat at Huddersfield and Mr Stewart told The Advertiser that it’s only to be expected as he is doing such a good job with Rotherham.

‘There will always be rumours,’ Mr Stewart said, ‘but I think we have a long future with Mark Robins. Although, if the opportunity of a lifetime comes up and he believes the time is right, he will move on. At the moment he has a job to do here and he’s finding it fulfilling.’

The Chairman has a lot of faith in the Manager and showed this in the summer when he gave him a contract extension that takes him through to 2012. That means that any club that does fancy Robins as their manager would have considerable compensation to pay.

‘When I first came in I wanted to create stability from the top going down. Mark and I spoke and agreed that a four-year deal would do that. We speak regularly and I like what I see in him and he likes what he sees in us.’
