Rotherham United are planning to boost revenue by selling the names of the stands at Millmoor.

The new Commercial Manager, Tony Styles has been looking at ways of boosting the coffers for the club and explained this idea to The Advertiser.

‘We know this idea might not be greeted well with the traditionalists but football clubs aren’t cheap to run and we need to look at ways to increase income.’

Companies will be invited to sponsor the Railway End, the Community Stand and, for the first time in it’s fifty year history, The Tivoli.

‘All three stands are camera facing,’ Styles continued, ‘which would increase exposure. Also the sponsor would have their name printed on the stand tickets.

‘We see this as more an investment issue than a selling issue, ‘he said. ‘We really want to give our sponsors something back for their money.’
