Rotherham United goalkeeper, Jamie Annerson played fifteen minutes of a private reserve game against Doncaster Rovers on Monday.

The twenty-three year old hasn’t featured since the final game of last season, after getting a knee injury during pre-season.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Manager, Andy Scott, said, ‘Jamie has been training well and he came to us and said he thought he could get himself involved in a game and the friendly with Donny was an opportunity for him to play fifteen minutes and feel himself back into game situations.

‘We’ve got a couple of reserve games coming up next month and hopefully he can get involved in them. Then maybe we will be looking to get him out on loan to get some first team football under his belt before the season finishes so that he’s got his confidence back and then we can look forward to next season.’
