Rotherham United are on the look out for a new Manager after Kenny Jackett resigned after just five games earlier this week.

In the frame we have former Manager Ronnie Moore who left his position at non-league Eastleigh yesterday for ‘personal reasons’. If Ronnie returned again it would be his third time in charge – and you know they say third time lucky? Hmmm not so sure about that.

HITC Sport is telling us today that the Millers are interested in Keith Hill who is in his second spell with Rochdale. Yes, he’s got Championship experience, yes he isn’t one to stand on the touchline with arms folded but is he right for the Millers?

The first person mentioned when Jackett resigned was Tony Mowbray who left Coventry City in September. Mowbray was also in the race in the summer before the Millers appointed Alan Stubbs. On paper Mowbray looks a very good bet but, for me, he’s not got the ‘umph’ the players and fans are after.

Kevin Blackwell is another name bandied about soon after the last man left. He could well be the best of the bunch having been with Neil Warnock at the New York Stadium last season – so he’ll know what’s need, he’ll know a lot of the staff, he’ll know how to handle the gents in the suits and he’s worked with Warnock a lot so surely some of what he gave to the Millers will have rubbed off?

I also saw on Facebook the Neville Brothers mentioned – Gary and Phil and in other social media quarters Stevie Gerrard and Ryan Giggs. Nothing against any of them and all have played under good Managers but do we want them to cut their teeth on Rotherham United at the moment?

Who do you think should be given the job?
