Rotherham United defender Joe Skarz says that he can’t see any reason why the Millers can’t be in the top half of the table at the end of the coming season.

Speaking to the Official Site the twenty-three year old said, ‘We’ll be looking to carry on from last season and If we can get a good start then I see no reason we can`t be looking at the top end of the table.’

Joe initially came on loan to the Millers from Bury in March and made such a good impression on Manager Steve Evans that he was offered a two-year deal just two days after Rotherham gained promotion making him his first signing of the summer.

With the Millers returning to training yesterday, Joe said, ‘I can’t wait for the season to start. The first few days are hard but once the games start then it becomes a little easier.’
