Rotherham United Club Captain, Ian Sharps says, that they don’t look what’s going on with the teams below them in the League, they just keep looking up.

Speaking to RotherFM, Sharps, who scored the first goal with less than a minute on the clock on Saturday against Chester, said, ‘Hopefully there’s more goals to come from me. I thought we did well in the first half and going forward I thought we were brilliant and played some excellent football. But you can’t keep it up all game. They came out for the second half with a kick up their a**se and we slacked off a bit. We have to look at playing better when we are being closed down. But we stood up to it and I think they really only had one chance in the second half. We were pleased how we’d played. No one even asked how Luton and Bournemouth had gone on, we aren’t looking down we are looking up – we want to catch the teams above us.

‘I’m looking forward to playing Wolves in the cup and I hope there’s a big crowd there to help us. We equipt ourselves well against Sheffield Wednesday and let’s hope we do it again against Wolves.

‘We are used to Don Valley now and it is our home. We’ve won two league games out of two there and you can’t get much better than that.’
