Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott experimented with a few players out of their normal positions in the two friendlies up to now with Marcus Marshall playing at left back on Tuesday night.

‘I thought he was excellent,` Scott told MillersPlayer. ‘And he`s now a defender because he`s got stitches in his cheek!

‘He looked comfortable there and seemed to enjoy it. He`s got some good pace and he defended better than we probably expected him to do against a very good, quick player.

‘He was good and I was very, very pleased with him.`

Marcus joined the Millers as a winger ‘who likes to get forward’ originally on loan from Blackburn Rovers, before signing a permanent contract last summer.
