Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says he has spoken to Paul Warne about what his role will be next season at the club.

‘Warney still has a playing contract left,` he told MillersPlayer, ‘and I want him to have a more active role with the Reserves as well as work on the fitness side of things.

‘Being a fit lad and a player as well he`s a good link between us and the fitness side of it and he can generate that enthusiasm while having the ability to talk to the players and he`s the sort of person we want to keep here.

‘He`s been with Rotherham for nearly ten years and he`s still got something to contribute certainly in the Reserves with the young players coming through because we want to establish more youth players in the Reserves next year as well as having a better link with the first team and Warney is going to have a big part to play in that.`
