Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott wasn’t impressed with the second half performance this afternoon in the three-one win over Dagenham and Redbridge but said he felt sorry that Alex Revell didn’t get on the score sheet.

‘I felt sorry for Revs today because I thought he deserved a goal for his performance,’ Scott told MillersPlayer. ‘I thought he was excellent but we didn’t help him out too much. He’s put in two really good performances for us now.’

Speaking about goalscorers Gareth Evans and Lewis Grabban, Scott said, ‘Evo is a wide player who can score goals and, although he didn’t get many at Bradford, he scored goals at Macclesfield.

‘Grabs took his chance up front, whereas before he was playing more games out wide at Millwall and sometimes at Brentford.’

Talking about the goal his side conceded today, Scott said, ‘We’ve worked on set-pieces and the same player has lost his man again. You know, we can work on it morning, noon and night in training but if people aren’t capable of doing it then they won’t be playing.’

Asked why Mark Bradley didn’t even make the bench today, Scott said, ‘He’s had a bit of a hamstring injury, which he’d had in pre-season but recovered from. But he just felt it a bit and I didn’t want to risk him with so many games coming up and we pulled him out in training yesterday. He should be OK for Tuesday.’

Scott then said it was unlikely that they would get anyone in on loan before Tuesday although they are monitoring the situation daily.
