Rotherham United Striker, Lewis Grabban scored a ‘sweet’ goal this afternoon at Don Valley to give the Millers all three points against much favoured Oxford United.

Millers Manager, Andy Scott was impressed with the goal and told MillersPlayer, ‘It was fantastic. I was right behind it and as soon as it was hit it was in. But it was a good driving run from Jaybo (Jason Taylor) who had a lot of the ball today and he`s grafted very hard. We are trying to give him the confidence on the ball so that he will realise that he`s a good player

‘It was very tough to leave Ben Pringle on the bench. I looked at the way that Oxford played and I felt that Schofield would be better in that position and would help us. But it`s not reflection on Ben and how he`s played in pre-season, he`s been extremely unlucky to miss out today.`

Asked if Luke Foster was missing today, Scott said, ‘There`s only five subs allowed and, unfortunately, you have to leave a couple of people out. But that`s the tough calls I have to make and it helps when you win the game, but it`s still difficult to tell players you`re leaving them out..

‘I`d got Mark Bradley and Luke Foster sitting in the stands – it`s not ideal but that`s the rules.`

With Troy Brown missing for the Tuesday night Cup game against Leicester City, Scott said, that Michael Raynes, who signed yesterday from Scunthorpe, will come in.

‘He`s seen what he has to do and we worked with him yesterday and can work with him again on Monday to make sure he`s prepared. It`s going to be a tough game no matter what side they put out.`
