Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that the criticism he`s been receiving lately hurts but not as much as the results.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Scott said, ‘When you lose you are going to get criticism no matter where you are or what you do. It`s a fact of life and, although it`s something you don`t want to deal with I don`t expect a pat on the back. People are passionate about their football club and want them to win.

‘As a manager criticism is something you deal with and I`d rather take it than everyone else so the players can concentrate on their game.

‘Some people get angry rather than looking at the facts and how we performed. Yes, there have been games where we have deserved to lose and then you deserve the criticism. But, the majority of the fans at Dagenham recognised it wasn`t the right result although we do know that its results that count and we`ve got to get three points.

‘I do understand the supporter`s frustrations. People want to see the results and they know what this squad is capable of, but the negativity doesn`t help. If people want to give up and be negative then that`s up to them but I`d rather they didn`t have an influence on others. We all need to be in the same boat and pushing forward.`
